Hello, my name is Mary Ryther and I was born and raised in Queensbury, NY. The youngest of 5 children. Both my parents were born in Glens Falls and never left, they both lived into their 90’s . I went to SUNY Adirondack and then graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in Communications. Growing up I always wanted to be the next Carol Burnett, so I moved to LA. Let’s just say I was better suited behind the scenes. I was blessed to become a stage manager/Assistant Director on many shows. Primarily working for Fox Sports.

 

In 2010, I made a career change. I now own a daycare in Burbank, Ca. People ask me if I miss working on a set and I always say, “no I’m happy I did that, but if I was on a set today I’d wonder what little Jude the dude or my sweet little Isabella is up to”. You get really close to the kids in your care. I just love it!!

 

So why a Halloween business? I love Halloween and I love kids, perfect together. I have to say it’s great to be back home, I missed fall. The leaves have been outstanding and I’m really enjoying the beauty of Fort Ann. I hope you’ll find time to come take in the fall foliage and bring your kids to Bootown. We have a great time.
